An update

Crappy life.
I haven't updated for ages.
There are so many things going on in my life now, I miss tk like crazy, I had no idea I would, I miss my secondary school life like mad. I wanna go back in time.  I can't believe I'm tired of JC life already. Can't wait to go on to uni.

Elated, really.
A1 for o level chinese! Yeah man. I rock.
Though I got a merit for oral, who cares?
That elusive A1 is now in my posession.
Yes!
Dancing in the moonlight really gets me high.
I love the song.

Random Ramblings

It's the eve of Chinese New Year.
Just finished reunion dinner.
Yummy.
Supposed to be studying Chem and Bio.
But the only thing I wanna study at the moment is Sorimachi Takashi.
He's damn hot can?
I totally wanna marry a jap. Jap surnames are so cool.
Oh well. Random Ramblings of a sickly me.
Had MC for 2 days-fever 38.9 blood in mucus swollen lymphs ( I think?) from coughing. Seriously sick.
At this unfortunate time.
Want hongbaos but not looking forward to the tedious procedure of
Extracting them.
Luck.
To me.

Malacca

Yeah. Going to Malacca tomorrow. Some three days-two nights package. Can't wait!

Am making efforts to improve my pathetic Chinese. Borrowed a couple of books on Chinese grammar. Fascinating, although rather abstract. I shall persevere though, and live to write about my efforts.

Yesterday was the Sec 4 farewell chalet get-together. What was I expecting, an emotional I'll miss you weep buckets of tears fall into each other's arms sob uncontrollably promise to keep in touch forever? Wait. This is Singapore. This heartless, cold, unfeeling Asian society has raised us to be iron-hearted, numb, callous, insensitive brats.

Lament now, I shall, the shallowness of Singaporean teenagers. Are we all such immature brats? Scenario - There is a table full of people. A person sits at the side, poking at her..say, mee pok, totally left out of the main conversation where everyone is exclaiming over..this particular tv show. She doesn't watch the show, is not interested in it. Does anyone make an effort to draw her into the conversation? Engage her in something else? No. Never. Why is it that the people around me are so..selfish? Self-centred? Everything is about me, Me, and ME.

Real relationships are rare, and should be cherished dearly with all one has. All sides giving, and accepting. Freely. But I shall stop this sad analysis, and start packing for my happy Malacca trip. Can't wait!

And I treasure mine.

Robert Pattinson

My God. This is one hot guy.

Familiar? Cedric Diggory. He is totally gorgeous. Hot.

The movie sucked, though. Stupid Dumbledore utterly ruined the whole movie. The first thing that irked me was his scrawny frame. Since when does the mighty headmaster look so..emaciated? Bloody short? That stupid guy doesn't have shoulders, for goodness sake. He looks like he can barely lift up his wand, let alone fend off attacks from the greedy deatheaters and Voldermort. Oh yes. The deatheaters. So laughable can? Gosh. They looked so stupid. Anyway, back to the bloody guy impersonating as Dumbledore. I shan't acknowledge his presence in the movie, nor bother to check out his name. Stupid him. How can he storm towards Harry and shake him? By the shoulders? Doubt him? Throw childish fits? Look like a starving Ethiopian overaged kid? Barely fill out his robes? My god. What happened to the kind noble he ai ke qing Dumbledore we all knew and loved? Did that stupid guy do any research, watch the previous HP movies? He has absolutely no stage presence at all. I was half expecting all the Hogwarts students to scoff and spit into his face when throughout the movie he attempted to exercise his headmastery powers. I spit at you. Pui.

But anyway. Cedric. He is damn shuai. Refer to the second pic. God. His smouldering gaze is enough to reduce my titanium enforced bones by daily consumption of low-fat HL milk to a quivering pile of..umm..cells and collagen. (: His lovely mussed-up I-just-got-of-bed hair. His sexy hint of a beard. I don't know about you guys, but I have this thing for not so clean-shaven guys, you know? Of course I don't want a Wolverine- bu guo suo wei nan ren bu huai, nv ren bu ai? You know? The bad guys are always more attractive. Of course, it helps that he was totally hot in HP.

Oh, and I don't know what's the big fuss about Cho Chang, about her being absolutely ghastly? I think Katie Leung is pretty enough. Wholesome, more like. Hermione was pretty, very. But I have to re-read the book again. I don't think she was portrayed very accurately? Like less muggerish more superficial blah. If I recall correctly, that is.

Harry and Ron looked..old. But I was pleasantly surprised to discover that Radcliffe actually possesses biceps. You know, in that funny bath scene? Hmmm. Oh, and the twins were so cute!! Fred and George, was it? Damn cute.

The movie, was in my opinion, terribly disjointed. Highly disappointing.

Oh well. Off to get some horizontal.

Hmmm.

Well well.

Here are some excerpts from the English essay I wrote for my Final Year Examination.

I shall not reveal the teacher in question, lest TK takes legal action against me. Since that seems to be all the rage now. If she happens to chance upon this entry, and decides to express her outrage at my actions, she will just be admitting to her mystifying, unfathomable marking.

By the way, I did question 2. Hah.

Incomprehensible example 1) "True, her accent sounded [weird, but] was it her fault?"

I consulted The Elements of Style by William Strunk and E.B. White. Let's just allow the rules to speak for themselves, shall we?

Rule number three- Enclose parenthetic expressions between commas.

Rule number four- Place a comma before a conjunction introducing an independent clause.

I believe both rules mentioned above apply to example 1.

Incomprehensible example 2) "I spent half the lesson staring in fascination at Jo's [braids, which] were tied so tightly to her scalp you could see the white bits of her scalp." (Rule three/four)

Incomprehensible example 3) "I sighed [mentally, and] prepared to face my doom." (Rule four)

Incomprehensible example 4) "Nod nod."

What is wrong with that??? Although it is a clipped sentence, I am certain the emphasis was warranted. Is it not permissible to make an emphatic expression serve the purpose of a sentence?

There are many more, but I shall not bother to list them all out; it will just be a waste of my time and effort. But this doesn't exactly speak well for the Engligh teachers of TK, does it?

On a lighter note, I watched two movies yesterday- Transporter 2 and Election. Paid for the first and sneaked in for the second. Yayy! $9.50 for two movies isn't that bad.

Transporter 2 was mindless entertainment; it was quite a fun movie actually. The British lead actor Jason Statham is super hot. And all the action fighting car flying off roof-top spontaneous combustion of cars were choreographed superbly. Although one doubts most of the action sequences are actually possible, it is really an excellent piece of mindless fun. I have a couple of complaints though. The length of the movie, for one, and the assuming ending. I suppose the makers of the movie didn't want to crack their brains over how the antidote would be extracted from the corpse's body, supremely diluted I would assume? with all the plasma and the like and save all those stuffy politicians? And just assumed the viewers would accept that yes, it would be done, and The Transporter would continue on his World-saving journey. And of course, the movie was too short. But apart from that, Transporter 2 was a highly enjoyable 87 minutes.

Election (Hei She Hui) was..amusing. That's all I can say about it, since as it approached the end it increasingly became more entertaining and I was prepared to give it a watchable status but it sadly degenerated into a let's educate the public and instill loads of wonderful morals movie. It started off promisingly enough, with the audience gasping in horror as two gang leaders were bundled up in crates and kicked down a steeply inclined slope, and retrieved, and kicked down repeatedly. And later as their bloodied bodies were disposed off on the road. Couple of less than thrilling chasing scenes. Lao das being locked up in jail and denied of their belts, and the supreme lao da having to hold up his pants because he was so fat they threatened to slip down everytime he took a step. And this other not so supreme lao da getting whacked up but refusing to surrender this item of power, some gun and sprouting all those jiang hu vows of brotherhood. Really hilarious. There was even a really cool twist nearing the end where two lao das ganged up (haha) to beat the shit out (literally) of a rival triad lao da. But at the end it adopted the give the good public message persona and made one lao da turn on another in some rubbish power gone to head and the police wrapping up the gangs. Simply moronic. Dumb.

Retainment?

Ok. I most probably won't be retained. Huge load off my mind. Apparently one just has to pass three subjects, including English to be promoted. Yup, so I won't have to bother.

I was feeling really desperate cuz I hardly prepared for the final years. Hardly. At all. I'm probably gonna fail a math and physics. probably biology too. I might just barely scrap a pass for e math. Argh. He's going to have a bad impression of me. But I shall stop being zi lian. It's highly improbable He even noticed me.

I'm passing english, (I hope?) even though my essay was atrocious, littered with cliches and blah but hopefully the markers will show some mercy. Should pass HCL. Chem too. SS yes, but I'm not too sure about Geog. Exercised the power of Logical Reasoning. Doubt it'll get me anywhere. As I did today. MEP? Hah!

EXAM FEVER

Ooooh. Today was fun. Chem and Chinese.

Chem was quite an easy paper actually, now that I come to think about it, just that as usual I studied last minute and forgot how to do all those calculation questions. Mole. Blah. And a couple of killer questions. But actually, if one mugs consistently which I don't, one would have found the paper a breeze. Argh. I'm hoping and praying I get at least a B3 so that my overall isn't horrendous.

Chinese was..fun! My letter was crap; it lacked substance- I was just demanding that the bloody authorites in charge do something immediately to eradicate those cheating companies selling window screws twice the market rate. Something about falling windows. And my compo was, surprisingly great! It just came to me so naturally, it was almost as if I was thinking in chinese. Excellent. Wrote some tear-jerker about this teacher leaving her students for America. Hmm.

Regarding all those flaming going on. About teachers and stuff, you know? I'm going to flame some one soon. Yeah.
